The Community Resources office of Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) facilitates the ADDitions School Volunteer Program. This program began in the 1970-71 school year as a joint venture between the Junior League of Orlando and OCPS. After three years, OCPS assumed full responsibility for the program. ADDitions are school volunteers who perform assigned duties that support Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) students and staff without the expectation of compensation.
Hillcrest Elementary is always looking for ADDitions volunteers. ADDitions help in the office, school clinic, media center, and act as classroom assistants. ADDitions make "Read2Succeed" and "Odyssey of the Mind" a viable part of our school program. They can be found mentoring individual students, coordinating enrichment activities and working hard at PTA functions.
